Howdy Kumquats!
I’m taking a break from writing for a bit to focus on my big shooooooooooooow in Baltimore on Thursday December 21 and Friday December 22 at The Ottobar. The Ottobar is very same punk rock club in which I started my Trixie career back in 2001. I haven’t even performed a show at all (aside from one costumed atmospheric festival event and a Hot Dog Opera…) since The Nest closed in April…8 months.
That’s a long time for me.
I’ll be joined by a 6 piece band. Just me solo and a band…a first in my career.
If you are in Maryland, I sure hope you’ll come.
I don’t even know what’s going to happen. It’ll likely be a mix of classic numbers, my weird-fun holiday traditions, dumb jokes, compromising situations, and some really great music by the band. We’ve been obsessing over the song list— and it’s all really fucking good! It’s so fun to perform with live music and some of the fellas in this band I’ve known for almost 20 years. They are also spicy, gritty, game-y Gen-Xers like me…
So, I’ll be pausing subscriptions for a bit and won’t be writing any public essays either— at least through the new year. I may send out info about events or happenings.
I’m not going to give a date for when I’ll be back.
Let’s just live life and get down stream a bit.
Sound good?
Also, thank you for being on this list, AT ALL, ya’ll!
You are la créme de la crop!
I appreciate all of you and your support through all its forms— reading what I write, thinking about stuff I write, sharing energy with me. And a big thank you to the paid members, that support was deeply received and appreciated. :)
I will *probably* continue to post on Instagram and Tiktok on my @trixielittle account, if you miss me!
Keep the thoughts/ words/ actions all light and bright this December, Kumquats.
And don’t forget to….
Dream Big.
Love, Trixie Little
(aka Beatrix Burneston)
Best of luck! Or the tarot equivalent, whatever that is!
