Pucker Up-- My Cranberry Sauce Recipe

This is so crazy delicious, I have a hard time sharing it with others!

Just popping by to say…

Happy Thanksgiving, Ya’ll!

And I wanted to share my cranberry sauce recipe. I know this is usually an after thought in many homes, but I’m always rooting for an underdog! And as far as Thanksgiving dinners go, the underdog of the meal would have to be either the green bean casserole OR the cranberry sauce! LOL.

Don’t be lonely this holiday— spend time in the kitchen with ME!

Anyway, it’s delicious. It was fun making a video for ya’ll. I haven’t made one in a while. You long-time listeners know there is a real-life documentary series about my weird-ass life out here in Northern California on the dream / to-do list— called Artist in the Wild. I did a few test episodes before I lost The Nest. I’m considering put out a rather late compilation from the summer. There were some amazing adventures despite all the upheaval with moving.

Anyway…

WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE TO HAVE A HAPPIER THANKSGIVING!

INGREDIENTS FOR TRIXIE’S PUCKER-UP CRANBERRY SAUCE

  • 2 bags cranberries

  • 1 bag fresh tangerines / oranges pressed for 1 1/3- 1 1/12 cups of juice

  • small piece of peeled ginger, finely grated (or 1-2 cinnamon sticks!)

  • 1/4 cup local honey

  • pinch of mild pink salt (optional)

  • Cooking time— approx 30 min.

  • Amazing on yogurt or ice cream or buttered toast….and Thanksgiving Dinner. too, obviously.

I suggest a strictly Cranberries playlist while you make it.

Back soon.

Love up your loved ones. You’re lucky to have them even if they make you crazy.

Have a good one!

Lots of love,

Trixie

P.S. I’m considering live-streaming my puppet show, “Carmen— The Hot Dog Opera” on Instagram tomorrow around 3pm Pacific/ 6pm Eastern. I’ll send out an email a few hours before hand if I do!
