Get Thyself To Baltimore!
I'm here. It's happening. Get off the floor or couch or wherever you are hiding!
Howdy Kumquats!
Hope your having a pleasant holiday season.
I’m writing to remind any of you Mid-Atlantic folks that I’m in Baltimore for 2 shows this week—- Thursday December 21 and Friday December 22 at The Ottobar. Live band helmed by Erich Von Marko of Rolling Chrome. With special guest, Michael Patrick Flanagan Smith!
I’ve put a lot of love into this one! And I traveled a great distance to be here. It’s my first actual show since The Nest closed in April— that’s 8 months. I didn’t realize how much of my year was spent mourning the loss of my space, but I can see that looking back now. I really missed the stage. And I’m still I’m still pushing myself to take new risks (singing a few songs) and maintain maximum levels of absurdity as a tonic for these times!
Here’s a little interview I did for the Baltimore Post Examiner.
I’ve been cracking myself up working on costumes and props for the show.
The band has been rehearsing away.
I dropped off decorations to the venue yesterday.
It certainly feels like I’m giving a big gift to the world!
If you are within driving distance of Baltimore, I really hope you’ll come to the show.
We never know how many chances we have to see someone doing something somewhere. Let’s not all assume we can just do it again next year. The time for joy is now!
So buy your ticket.
Spread the word!
And be well!
Love, Trixie
PS My holiday movie, Elf Colored Glasses is a finalist in the ZTV Film Fest this year!
They will be announcing the winners and showing all the films starting Christmas Eve. And you can watch Elf Colored Glasses anytime HERE.
