Hallelujah Tiger Club!
I am preaching the weird word today!
As you can see, I re-branded the Tiger Club newsletter from Weekly Dose of Fun to the GOSPEL OF FUN! Some weeks it takes longer to gather up the goodies for you, but I will still try to get these out once a week.
As a traditionally trained visual artist, I know the importance of seeding your imagination with high quality, organic, free-range images and ideas. Images are the language of our soul, of our individual and collective unconscious and of our dreams. They are important.
Especially to counteract the effects of this crazy ass world right now. It’s super-fucking-important that we keep connecting, reaching out, finding our similarities, supporting each other and re-building the culture. To do that, we need healed, healthy and whole humans who are ready to strenghten their muscles of perception and connection to themselves, to each other and to ALL OF NATURE.
If you’re reading this, I’m talking to you!
As Coach Taylor says, “Clear eyes. Full hearts. Can’t lose!”
So, let’s get to it! This is some alternative “news” for your mind, eyes and hearts.
Enjoy!
Love, Trixie
P.S. I want to say thanks to you paying members for being here— reply to this email and send me your mailing address! I want to send you a little something. :)
Sunning Your Junk Now Officially Declared Good For Your Health!
This was a great episode on my favorite “conspiracy” podcast, Higherside Chats. Funny how most of what counts for conspiracy these days is just anything outside of the Over-Culture’s narrative. They did that with the witches, don’t forget.
This interview not only makes a great case for indulging EVEN MORE in my favorite activity (being naked in nature), but also explains how this lady healed from Lyme Disease with sunlight therapy and a quantum health naturo-path— I’ve actually worked with a healer from this field for about a year before, so I was familiar with a lot of the treatments that she discussed, but the sunlight therapy part was FASCINATING!
Do yourself a favor and find out why the sun is so good for you!
Speaking of Naked
You know there was a movie made about me and my ex-husband, right?
I’m not sure if my father’s death has made me want to pour salt in old wounds or if it gave me a Teflon coating, but I went down a rabbit hole of my own history the other night. It was like watching another person, but I really am proud of my career. I did some cool shit. And I’m not done. So, sometimes you have to go back to visit the past to see it with fresh eyes. Obviously being a codependent workaholic didn’t help matters when I was married, but I’ve done a ton of growing up since then. It is aching and bittersweet that the film ends with our wedding, but it’s still a good film. We were very involved in every stage of making it and the director spent 7 years on it. A labor of love for everyone.
Anyway. I watched parts of it again last week. You can buy/rent it for yourself too.
What The Angels Have To Say About It
Some of you may remember that one of my current mysto-spiritual research projects has been learning about Angels— 72 of the them in fact. There is this particular group of Angels in the tradition of Jewish mysticism / Kabbalah called the Shem Hamphorash Angels and I first learned about them from Gordon White at Rune Soup podcast. My project is now in its second year and as I’ve gotten to understand who they are and how they operate a little better, I rather enjoy the new age folks out there who write about Angels. I used to make fun of people who were into Angels…and now I am a humble student eager for more. Isn’t that always how it goes? LOL.
Anyway. I’ve been loving the Medium page for a woman named Jodie Helm, who channels different Angels and asks them questions relevant to humanity right now. All of her posts feels so encouraging and always bring it back to LOVE, which is the name of the game on this planet, believe it or not! Here’s a section from her most recent article—
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, is how you have been conditioned to live in fear. This awareness will change everything. When you conduct your life based on fear, you adopt many limitations to joy and self-expression. It affects all aspects and choices when your first consideration is survival and safety, rather than joy and fulfillment. You have all been trained to fear the future to such an extent that it affects your present and shapes and dictates your path. It affects what you value and how you view success and what you prioritize, all leading to a sense of discontent, while the fear never ends.
Because of this ever present search for security and safety, you have been taught to believe that you have no control over things and must trust others to keep you safe by giving them extreme power in decision making. You have been brainwashed to believe that you are helpless and need others to make decisions for you, limiting your options. You have been made to believe that you are weak and that your safety depends on allowing others to control your life. You have been convinced to cede your control and power to others.
Let’s Pretend Hobbits Are The Right and Elves Are The Left
This piece on the Gray Mirror Substack by Curtis Yarvin has had me thinking all week. His argument is kind of reductive and insulting to rednecks…which I don’t get down with because I grew up around rednecks and they are actually just like any other people— not all the same and mostly nice.
However, I do appreciate how he talks us through some strategy. It got my gears turning in a new way—- check it out!
We know who are the hobbits and who are the elves. We know who is on top and who is on the bottom. (Of dwarves and orcs, we shall not speak.) We know what the elves want: they want to live beautiful lives. We know what the hobbits want: they want to grill and raise kids.
Dear hobbits: you can only lose the culture war. Even when elves use political power to impose elf culture on you, you cannot use political power to impose hobbit culture on elves.
I mean, sometimes (rarely) you can. It never works out well. I suppose that in theory you could massacre all the elves. You don’t seem up for that in practice. As an elf… I have to regard that as a good thing. But it leaves you, dear hobbits, in a real bind.
If there was a way to impose hobbit culture only on hobbits, there might be a case. But our country is not configured to support separate rules for elves and hobbits. If it was, it would be a different country. Maybe a better country—but it isn’t.
Here’s me at my garage sale—
I had a garage sale this weekend. Making room to do construction again!
