Welcome to Artist in the Wild!
Howdy! I’m Trixie Little (aka Beatrix Burneston) and I am a Gen-X age cabaret performer, writer and painter, currently living a rustic life in the mountains. In addition to flipping and stripping on stages around the world with my acrobatic burlesque / cabaret career, I’m a writer and painter.
No matter which of the arts I am doing, ALL of my work uses humor, creativity, spirituality and cheeky sexuality to re-echant the world with wonder and delight.
Since May 1, 2020, I have been living in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains, in Northern California. Shortly after I started this blog to offer my spiritual wisdom from a 20+ year devoted relationship with yoga, 7+ years studying western esotericism including astrology, tarot, many forms of magick, shadow work, important mystics and shamanic practices.
My writing here weaves together art, culture, astrology, rustic living, nature, and my journey as a spiritual seeker— all with my absurdly entertaining insight.
